This privacy statement serves as information for you about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by HFBLAW.COM (“HFB”).

Personal data
Personal data is individual information about you including, but not limited to, name, email address, or phone number.

Registration
On one of our sites, you may register for a newsletter. To that end you have to enter the following data:
• First name and last name
• Email address

This data is used for the purpose of sending information to the blog or to answer specific questions requested by you and to inform you via email about
relevant information you have requested, i.e., the newsletter.

Contacting HFB
In case you contact HFB (e.g. via the contact form on our website), the following data is saved: the information stated in the contact form, including your contact data stated for the purpose of handling the request as well as in case of further questions. The data is not passed on without your consent.

Newsletter
For sending the newsletter we use Business Catalyst, an Adobe Systems platform. When the newsletter is opened by you, a tracking pixel is used. Via that tracking pixel, the following data is saved in our system: newsletter ID, your email address, and the date and time when the newsletter is opened. If the newsletter contains links, they also contain tracking information which enable HFB to see on which links you clicked. This enables HFB to adapt the newsletter to your interests. Via that tracking link, the following data is saved: newsletter ID, your email address, the date and the time when the newsletter is opened.

The newsletter informs you about relevant industry news on a regular basis.

If you want to receive the newsletter, HFB needs a valid email address as well as information that allow us to verify that you are the owner of the stated email address, or if the owner of the stated email address agrees to the receipt of the newsletter. The data is exclusively used for sending the newsletter and is solely transmitted to the newsletter service. Upon subscribing to the newsletter, your IP address and the date of the subscription are saved. This serves as evidence in case a third person misuses the email address or subscribes to the receipt of the newsletter without your knowledge.

You may revoke the consent of the storage of the data and the email address at any given time. You may also revoke the data being used for sending the newsletter, as for instance, via the link “Unsubscribe” in the newsletter itself or by sending a message to the above-mentioned email address.

Integration of services and contents of third-party providers
It is possible that contents of third parties are integrated in this website, such as YouTube videos, Google maps, RSS feeds or graphics of other websites. This requires that the provider of those services and content (in the following called “third-party provider”) see your IP address. Your IP address is necessary for the presentation of services and content. Without knowing your IP address, it would not be possible to send the services or content to your browser. HFB uses services or content whose respective providers only use your IP address for sending content. However, HFB has no influence on whether third-party providers store your IP address for statistical purposes. In case HFB becomes aware of that, you will be informed.
